Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Edgar Plans achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in March this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Coffee Lover sold for HKD 304,800.00 (€ 35,688.96) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Plans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Juanín in April this year with an auction result of HKD 840,000.00 (€ 857,804.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edgar Plans erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Coffee Lover für HKD 304.800,00 (€ 35.688,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edgar Plans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Juanín im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 840.000,00 (€ 857.804,35).
