Auction result well in line with expectations
The work French architectural views, c. 1855 by Édouard-Denis Baldus was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2015. The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,572.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Édouard-Denis Baldus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chemin De Fer De Paris À Lyon Et À La Méditerranée', 1861 - 1863 in November 2014 with an auction result of EUR 47,100.00.
