In the Horizon | Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work The Winged Victory of Samothrace, Louvre, Paris, c. 1855 sold for USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,832.53) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Édouard-Denis Baldus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chemin De Fer De Paris À Lyon Et À La Méditerranée', 1861 - 1863 in November 2014 with an auction result of EUR 47,100.00.
