Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sitzende Frau mit Hut by Egon Schiele was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 214,500 (€ 359,000) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as GBP 150,000 - 250,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Egon Schiele achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Häuser Mit Bunter Wäsche (Vorstadt Ii) Houses With Laundry (Suburb Ii) in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 24,681,250 (€ 27,305,215).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sitzende Frau mit Hut von Egon Schiele kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 214.500 (€ 359.000) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000 – 250.000 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Egon Schiele erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Häuser Mit Bunter Wäsche (Vorstadt Ii) Houses With Laundry (Suburb Ii) im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.681.250 (€ 27.305.215).
