Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction ExpressionismGermany, Austria and Beyond, which included the work Sitzende Frau by Egon Schiele. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 365,700 (€ 612,057), 22% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Egon Schiele achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Häuser Mit Bunter Wäsche (Vorstadt Ii) Houses With Laundry (Suburb Ii) in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 24,681,250 (€ 27,305,215).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion ExpressionismGermany, Austria and Beyond durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sitzende Frau von Egon Schiele zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 365.700 (€ 612.057) und damit 22% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Egon Schiele erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Häuser Mit Bunter Wäsche (Vorstadt Ii) Houses With Laundry (Suburb Ii) im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.681.250 (€ 27.305.215).
