Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Barakei, Killed By Roses, 1963 by Eikoh Hosoe for GBP 756.00 (€ 839.47). This price was achieved in the auction From Japan with Love at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eikoh Hosoe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yayoi Kusama (Imaged Taken In 1964, Printed In 2016) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 81,600.00 (€ 83,329.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Barakei, Killed By Roses, 1963 von Eikoh Hosoe für GBP 756,00 (€ 839,47) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion From Japan with Love bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eikoh Hosoe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yayoi Kusama (Imaged Taken In 1964, Printed In 2016) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 81.600,00 (€ 83.329,57).
