Auction result well in line with expectations
The work From 'Revenge' by Ellen von Unwerth was auctioned at Christies in New York in August 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,250.00 (€ 1,885.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ellen von Unwerth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Parasol in May 2016 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 65,244.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit From 'Revenge' von Ellen von Unwerth kam im August 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.250,00 (€ 1.885,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ellen von Unwerth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Parasol im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 65.244,72).
