A top price for Emanuel de Witte - as previously expected

In December 2021 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work Interior of the Oude Kerk, Amsterdam, with a trompe l'oeil curtain and frame by Emanuel de Witte. The result of GBP 500,000.00 (€ 596,395.12) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500,000.00 – 800,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Interior of the Oude Kerk, Amsterdam, with a trompe l'oeil curtain and frame is the most expensive artwork by Emanuel de Witte that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Interior of the Oude Kerk, Amsterdam, with a trompe l'oeil curtain and frame von Emanuel de Witte zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 500.000,00 (€ 596.395,12) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500.000,00 – 800.000,00.
