A top price for Emile-Louis Vernier - as previously expected
The work French Bateaux Au Port by Emile-Louis Vernier was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in December 2014. The result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,436.66) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, French Bateaux Au Port is the most expensive artwork by Emile-Louis Vernier that we have observed at auctions so far.
