Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Study: Woman in Pink Walking, 1992 by Ernie Barnes was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. It achieved a price of USD 35,655.00 (€ 33,630.45), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernie Barnes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sugar Shack in May last year with an auction result of USD 15,275,000.00 (€ 14,234,460.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Study: Woman in Pink Walking, 1992 von Ernie Barnes kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 35.655,00 (€ 33.630,45) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ernie Barnes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Sugar Shack im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.275.000,00 (€ 14.234.460,91).
