Bransten Collection of Photographs auction, the work Charles Baudelaire, c. 1862 sold for USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,671.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Etienne Carjat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Charles Baudelaire, Le Dernier Portrait, Paris, 1865 in November 2017 with an auction result of EUR 112,500.00.
