Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Fausto Melotti could be acquired at Christies in Paris in June last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th/21st Century: Paris Evening Sale auction, the work Le bugie changed hands for EUR 151,200.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fausto Melotti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Pioggia in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 548,750.00 (€ 625,682.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fausto Melotti konnte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century: Paris Evening Sale wechselte die Arbeit Le bugie für EUR 151.200,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fausto Melotti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Pioggia im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 548.750,00 (€ 625.682,41).
