This artwork by Félicien Rops achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2014. In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work Belgian A Un Dîner D'Athées sold for GBP 52,500.00 (€ 67,584.91) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Félicien Rops - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Belgian Le Calvair (Les Sataniques), which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 162,500.00 (€ 227,542.04).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Félicien Rops erzielte im Dezember 2014 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings wurde die Arbeit Belgian A Un Dîner D'Athées für GBP 52.500,00 (€ 67.584,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Félicien Rops mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Belgian Le Calvair (Les Sataniques) beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 162.500,00 (€ 227.542,04) versteigert wurde.
