The work Paoay Church by Fernando Cueto Amorsolo was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 525,000.00 (€ 56,524.21), 31% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Fernando Cueto Amorsolo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maiden With Fruits, 1930 in March 2019 with an auction result of HKD 4,975,625.00 (€ 564,565.93).

Die Arbeit Paoay Church von Fernando Cueto Amorsolo wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 56.524,21) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fernando Cueto Amorsolo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maiden With Fruits, 1930 im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.975.625,00 (€ 564.565,93).
