Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, Session I, which included the work Vitellius by Francesco Righetti I. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 15,120.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Righetti I - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Titus and Vespasian, which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 37,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, Session I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vitellius von Francesco Righetti I zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 15.120,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Francesco Righetti I mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Titus and Vespasian beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 37.800,00 versteigert wurde.
