Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work An Allegory Of Drawing by François Lemoyne for USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,896.61). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Drawings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Lemoyne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Adam Et Eve in June 2009 with an auction result of EUR 1,296,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit An Allegory Of Drawing von François Lemoyne für USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.896,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François Lemoyne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Adam Et Eve im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.296.750,00.
