Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Triumph of Venus (Bozzetto for a ceiling) by François Lemoyne was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 100,000.00 (€ 10,920.38). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Lemoyne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Adam Et Eve in June 2009 with an auction result of EUR 1,296,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Triumph of Venus (Bozzetto for a ceiling) von François Lemoyne im Juni 2014 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 100.000,00 (€ 10.920,38) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François Lemoyne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Adam Et Eve im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.296.750,00.
