Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Collection André Mourgues, Alexandre Iolas et ses artistes, which included the work Chevaux au galop, Fontaine, petit format by François-Xavier Lalanne. The price achieved of EUR 1,638.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François-Xavier Lalanne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'RHINOCRÉTAIRE I', PIÈCE UNIQUE, 1964 in October this year with an auction result of EUR 18,335,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Collection André Mourgues, Alexandre Iolas et ses artistes durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chevaux au galop, Fontaine, petit format von François-Xavier Lalanne zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.638,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François-Xavier Lalanne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'RHINOCRÉTAIRE I', PIÈCE UNIQUE, 1964 im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.335.000,00.
