Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2016 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art, which included the work At the Door by Frank Bramley. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,624.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Bramley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work When the blue evening slowly falls in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 163,875.00 (€ 187,255.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit At the Door von Frank Bramley zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.624,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Bramley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit When the blue evening slowly falls im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 163.875,00 (€ 187.255,75).
