Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work A North German Lloyd ship passing the Statue of Liberty in New York harbor at moonlight by Fred Pansing for USD 8,400.00 (€ 6,213.02). This price was achieved in the auction Ocean Liner at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Fred Pansing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Eastern Steamship Company, Camden at sea in February 2006 with an auction result of USD 45,600.00 (€ 38,238.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A North German Lloyd ship passing the Statue of Liberty in New York harbor at moonlight von Fred Pansing für USD 8.400,00 (€ 6.213,02) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Ocean Liner bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fred Pansing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Eastern Steamship Company, Camden at sea im Februar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 45.600,00 (€ 38.238,99).
