Auction result well in line with expectations

In June 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Ocean Liner, which included the work The Cunard Liner R.M.S. Umbria off Brooklyn Heights, on the East River, New York by Fred Pansing. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 27,781.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Fred Pansing have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2006 the work The Eastern Steamship Company, Camden at sea was auctioned for USD 45,600.00 (€ 38,238.99).

Im Juni 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Ocean Liner durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Cunard Liner R.M.S. Umbria off Brooklyn Heights, on the East River, New York von Fred Pansing zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 27.781,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Fred Pansing konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2006 die Arbeit The Eastern Steamship Company, Camden at sea für USD 45.600,00 (€ 38.238,99) versteigert.
