Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Austrian Caritas (Charity) by Friedrich von Amerling was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 34,100.00 (€ 43,376.69). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Friedrich von Amerling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Austrian joseph Amerling Als Knabe (The Artist'S Brother), which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 127,250.00 (€ 154,747.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Austrian Caritas (Charity) von Friedrich von Amerling kam im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 34.100,00 (€ 43.376,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Friedrich von Amerling mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Austrian joseph Amerling Als Knabe (The Artist'S Brother) beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für GBP 127.250,00 (€ 154.747,84) versteigert wurde.
