Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Il Mio Cortile (A Bangkokg) by Galileo Chini was sold in the Arte Moderna e Contemporanea & Identita’ Italiana un’Importante Collezione Privata auction at Sothebys in Milan in November 2011. The price achieved of EUR 24,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Galileo Chini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vecchio Cimitero Di Sam Phaya, which sold at auction in May 2012 for EUR 72,750.00.
