Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Ouranophobia by Ged Quinn for GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,660.27). This price was achieved in the auction This is Tomorrow: Works from the David Ross Collection at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ged Quinn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gone to Yours in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 193,250.00 (€ 227,632.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ouranophobia von Ged Quinn für GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.660,27) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion This is Tomorrow: Works from the David Ross Collection bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ged Quinn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gone to Yours im Februar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 193.250,00 (€ 227.632,33).
