Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Scops Owl by Geoffrey Dashwood was auctioned at Christies in New York in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,638.00 (€ 1,905.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Geoffrey Dashwood have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work British Red Kite in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,020.70).
