Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2004 Christies in New York held the auction THE HOUSE SALE, which included the work Portrait of Lady Anne Carr, Countess of Bedford by George Perfect Harding. The price achieved of USD 418.25 (€ 328.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Perfect Harding achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work James I (1566-1625), King Of Scotland As James Vi 1567-1625, And King Of England 1603-1625, In Gold-Embroidered Doublet With Ermine Sleeves, High Lace Ruff, Wearing The Collar Of The Order Of The Garter And A Great George, Black Hat With Jewelled Hat Badg in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 5,000.0

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 418,25 (€ 328,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Perfect Harding erzielen.
