This artwork by Georgette Chen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November last year. In the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction, the work Still Life with Rambutans, Mangosteens and Pineapple sold for HKD 13,050,000.00 (€ 1,619,398.43) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 7,000,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Georgette Chen; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Still Life with Big Durian sold at auction in May this year with the realized price of HKD 14,290,000.00 (€ 1,712,814.91).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Georgette Chen erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Still Life with Rambutans, Mangosteens and Pineapple für HKD 13.050.000,00 (€ 1.619.398,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 7.000.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Georgette Chen; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Still Life with Big Durian im Mai diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 14.290.000,00 (€ 1.712.814,91).
