Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gerald Cassidy could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Portrait of the WestThe Diane and Sam Stewart Collection auction, the work Indian Chief, Sun Dance and Indian in Headdress, Sketch for Master of Ceremonies (Three Works) changed hands for USD 7,650.00 (€ 6,483.05) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerald Cassidy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Indians Racing Before a Storm in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 209,000.00 (€ 153,225.81).
