This artwork by Gérard Garouste achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in December 2005. In the ART D'APRES-GUERRE ET CONTEMPORAIN auction, the work Iona, la colombe sold for EUR 15,600.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gérard Garouste have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nature morte au vase bleu - 1984 in December last year with an auction result of EUR 124,640.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gérard Garouste erzielte im Dezember 2005 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion ART D'APRES-GUERRE ET CONTEMPORAIN wurde die Arbeit Iona, la colombe für EUR 15.600,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gérard Garouste auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nature morte au vase bleu - 1984 im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 124.640,00.
