It achieved a price of USD 47,500.00 (€ 38,953.58), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giacomo Manzù achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grande cardinale seduto in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 421,750.00 (€ 671,843.98).

Die Arbeit Pittore E Modella von Giacomo Manzù kam im Mai 2021 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 38.953,58) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giacomo Manzù erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grande cardinale seduto im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 421.750,00 (€ 671.843,98).
