Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2006 Christies in Milan held the auction Modern Pictures, which included the work Natura Morta Con Scatole E Bottiglie by Giorgio Morandi. The price achieved of EUR 49,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giorgio Morandi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Natura morta in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 4,332,500.00 (€ 3,712,510.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion Modern Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Natura Morta Con Scatole E Bottiglie von Giorgio Morandi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 49.600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giorgio Morandi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Natura morta im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.332.500,00 (€ 3.712.510,71).
