Auction result well in line with expectations
The work BIG SUN by Glendon Cordell was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in November this year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 115,200.00 (€ 13,518.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Glendon Cordell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Five Trees Standing Watch in May this year with an auction result of HKD 537,400.00 (€ 64,413.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit BIG SUN von Glendon Cordell kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 115.200,00 (€ 13.518,15) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Glendon Cordell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Five Trees Standing Watch im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 537.400,00 (€ 64.413,35).
