Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision, which included the work French Papillons by Gustav Adolf Mossa. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 13,127.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gustav Adolf Mossa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Baiser D'Hélène, which sold at auction in March 2014 for USD 60,000.00 (€ 43,550.85).
