Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gustavo Novoa could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in December 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Lady Blue Eyes: Property of Barbara and Frank Sinatra auction, the work Memory changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,091.13) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gustavo Novoa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Virtual Zebras I in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 14,375.00 (€ 9,238.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gustavo Novoa konnte im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Lady Blue Eyes: Property of Barbara and Frank Sinatra wechselte die Arbeit Memory für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.091,13) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gustavo Novoa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Virtual Zebras I im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.375,00 (€ 9.238,43).
