Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Purity Ii by Gustavo Novoa for USD 2,250.00 (€ 1,964.04). This price was achieved in the auction Lady Blue Eyes: Property of Barbara and Frank Sinatra at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Gustavo Novoa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Virtual Zebras I in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 14,375.00 (€ 9,238.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Purity Ii von Gustavo Novoa für USD 2.250,00 (€ 1.964,04) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Lady Blue Eyes: Property of Barbara and Frank Sinatra bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gustavo Novoa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Virtual Zebras I im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.375,00 (€ 9.238,43).
