Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Street Scene in Baghdad by Hafidh al-Droubi was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 14,375.00 (€ 16,390.31) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hafidh al-Droubi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kadhimain Alley, which sold at auction in November 2021 for GBP 52,500.00 (€ 61,639.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Street Scene in Baghdad von Hafidh al-Droubi kam im Oktober 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 14.375,00 (€ 16.390,31) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hafidh al-Droubi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kadhimain Alley beobachtet, die im November 2021 für GBP 52.500,00 (€ 61.639,94) versteigert wurde.
