Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Couple by Hafidh al-Droubi was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, Part II auction at Christies in London in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 30,240.00 (€ 35,041.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Hafidh al-Droubi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2021 the work Kadhimain Alley was auctioned for GBP 52,500.00 (€ 61,639.94).

Die Arbeit The Couple von Hafidh al-Droubi wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, Part II bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 30.240,00 (€ 35.041,26) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
