Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gloucester Eagle by Harriet Whitney Frishmuth was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in November 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,562.50 (€ 14,673.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harriet Whitney Frishmuth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Vine in May 2009 with an auction result of USD 962,500.00 (€ 681,367.69).
