Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'I Bring For You, Aglint With Dew, A Little Lovely Dream' by Harry Clarke was sold in the The Irish Sale auction at Sothebys in London in May 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,009.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry Clarke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Mother of Sorrows, Memorial to Sister Superior Mary of Saint Wilfrid, Principal of Dowanhill Training College, Glasgow, 1926 in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 65,725.00 (€ 102,926.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'I Bring For You, Aglint With Dew, A Little Lovely Dream' von Harry Clarke wurde im Mai 2009 in der Auktion The Irish Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.009,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harry Clarke erzielen.
