Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hedda Sterne could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work Madame Haiman changed hands for USD 1,800.00 (€ 1,409.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hedda Sterne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York VIII in May last year with an auction result of USD 504,000.00 (€ 469,667.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hedda Sterne konnte im Oktober 2006 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The House Sale wechselte die Arbeit Madame Haiman für USD 1.800,00 (€ 1.409,22) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hedda Sterne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit New York VIII im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 504.000,00 (€ 469.667,32).
