Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Wakes Came to Lees by Helen Bradley was sold in the Modern British Art auction at Christies in London in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 82,699.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 65,000.00 – 85,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Helen Bradley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Oh it's the King and Queen, which sold at auction in April 2019 for GBP 162,500.00 (€ 189,034.46).
