Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 14,493.95), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Cartier-Bresson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On the Banks of the Marne, France in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 212,500.00 (€ 195,043.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Behind The Gare St. Lazare, Paris, 1932 von Henri Cartier-Bresson kam im April 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 14.493,95) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Cartier-Bresson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit On the Banks of the Marne, France im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 212.500,00 (€ 195.043,60).
