In June 2009 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Profil, 1928 by Henri de Waroquier. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 638.00 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Henri de Waroquier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cristal, Agate Et Coquillages - 1911 in April 2017 with an auction result of EUR 5,200.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2009 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Profil, 1928 von Henri de Waroquier zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 638,00 und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henri de Waroquier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cristal, Agate Et Coquillages - 1911 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.200,00.
