This artwork by Henri Gaudier-Brzeska achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2017. In the Modern & Post-War British Art auction, the work Torpedo Fish sold for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 49,662.76) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henri Gaudier-Brzeska have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Homme Et Cheval in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 254,500.00 (€ 290,810.61).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henri Gaudier-Brzeska auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Homme Et Cheval im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 254.500,00 (€ 290.810,61).
