The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,743.26), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Lebasque achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le goûter sur la terrasse à Sainte-Maxime in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 1,022,500.00 (€ 711,254.87).

Die Arbeit Nu couché dans un paysage à Saint-Tropez von Henri Lebasque wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Art Online including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.032,00 (€ 4.743,26) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Lebasque erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le goûter sur la terrasse à Sainte-Maxime im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.022.500,00 (€ 711.254,87).
