Here, the upper estimate of USD 200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 228,000.00 (€ 193,384.22). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Matisse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Odalisque couchée aux magnolias in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 80,750,000.00 (€ 69,194,515.85).
