Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 6,945.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Gillard Glindoni - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Confiscation, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 10,575.00 (€ 16,828.16).
