Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Henry Lamb achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2016. In the Evening Auction auction, the work Study For Portrait Of Lytton Strachey sold for GBP 100,000.00 (€ 117,990.17) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henry Lamb; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait of Cecil Beaton sold at auction in October 2021 with the realized price of GBP 137,500.00 (€ 162,900.36).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Lamb erzielte im November 2016 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
