This artwork by Henry Moore achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2014. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Maquette For Sculpture With Hole And Light sold for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 41,838.28) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Moore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining Figure: Festival in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 24,722,500.00 (€ 29,675,067.53).
