Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,259.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Pether - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of The Thames By Moonlight, Towards London Bridge, With The Tower of London And Traitors' Gate In The Foreground, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,550.94).
